In music and literature a pastorale represents or evokes life in the countryside, especially that of shepherds. "Pastorale" strives to capture the beauty, serenity and amazing blessings of being in the presence of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ

No 2093  Songs of the Pioneers by Kenneth Smith

Written for the 125th anniversary of Guelph Corps, Ontario, Canada, this music features three songs that would have been used in a typical open-air meeting when the corps openen in 1884.
"We´re bound for the land of the pure and the holy"
"Hallelujah to the Lamb"
"O yes, there´s salvation for you"

No 2094  song arrangement  - In The Love of Jesus by Kenneth Downie

The words of this song were written by Ivy Mawby to a tune by William Hammond. It became very popular as a solo and was subsequently included in the 1986 Song Book of The Salvation Army. The warmth of the words is wonderfully echoed in the mood of the music, the melody line soaring in beautiful, sequential curves.
