Sheet Music for Brass Band
No 394 March - SATCoL 100 by Richard Phillips
This march was composed to commemorate the opening of the 100th charity clothing shop in the UK by trading arm of The Salvation Army, SATCoL in New Malden.
References to "My old man´s a dustman", "Second hand rose" and the theme "Steptoe & Son" have been included to remind listeners that the goods on sale are second hand and will have another life for someone.
No 395 Horn solo - He Leadeth Me by George Twitchen
Major George Twitchen has arranged James Curnow´s beautiful setting of "He Leadeth Me", which has been recently published in the "Sing to the Lord" journal. The chorus of the song by Joseph Henry Gilmor says:
He leadeth me, he leadeth me!
By hsi own hand he leadeth me.
His faithful follower I will be.
For by his hand he leadeth me.
No 396 Tango - Where I love to be by Kevin Larsson
This is the second arrangement in a series of Unity Series pieces where the composer Kevin Larsson is experimenting with various latin rhythms and styles. This great song by Liuet.-Colonel Trevor Davis, just seemed to fit into the Tango style in this light-hearted arrangement.
No 397 Song arrangement - All for Thee by Kenneth Downie
Francis Ridley Havergal´s hymn, which begins - "Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord to Thee" is a most moving prayer and it is no surprise that it has inspired several beautiful settings by composers. Dr FKenneth Downie hars provided us with another lovely setting of this beautiful music.
