No 393 Come Thou Fount by Ruben Schmidt
The American folk tune known as "Nettleton" first appeared as a two-part melody in the 19th Century. The tune has been attributed by some to Asahel Nettleton, a well-known and respected evangelist. It has since become popular within the Christian church and is mostly associated with the words of 18th Century hymnist, Robert Robinson, "Come thou fount of every blessing". This arrangement seeks to portray the yearning of the Christian to invote God into our daily lives.
