No 279 Carol Setting - Joy To The World

Presentation by the composer: This majestic setting is comfortably arranged for congregational singing with the intention that everyone can celebrate Christmas in song.

No 280 A Christmas Overture

This is a bright "Broadway" style overture that uses five songs of the Christmas season. The tunes of "Joy To The World", "We Need A Little Christmas", "Silent Night", "Carol of the Bells" and "Angels From the Realms of Glory", are all featured in this piece.

No 281 A Christmas Pastorale

The song was originally sung and recorded by the New York Staff Band male chorus. The night Jesus was born drew shepherds who heard the angels´ song. In a pastoral mood the music suggests a lullaby with a flowing melody of the shepherd´s pipe on a hill side.

This arrangement ioncludes the chorus of the song published as "Miracle in a Manger":Miracle, miracle In a manger stall, Gift of love to all Unto us is born this day a Savior Son of God, and He´s our miracle of loveHow else can we describe the birth of our Savior other than a miracle of God´s grace.
